Xavier bags third place in Passarelle

09/16/2009

Xavier School came confident, it no longer fielded in Jeron Teng, its star player who is the son of former PBA star Alvin Teng, as it demolished Antipolo Lady of Lourdes School, 110-70, to capture third place in the Passarelle division of the SBP-Passarelle twin basketball tournaments last weekend at the San Pedro Poveda gym.

Teng did not come in uniform but watched as teammates Paolo Miguel Cabero, Francis Kevin Yao, Juan Paolo Susmerano, Albert Oxales and Marco Ayuste combined for 77 of the hosts’ total points to salvage a trophy in this Milo-sponsored tournament organized by the Best Center (Basketball Efficiency and Scientific Training Center).

Meanwhile, Notre Dame of Greater Manila banked on a well-spread scoring among its players to beat Xavier School, 54-47, for the third place trophy.
