02/27/2009 Defending champion Maximo Estrella Elementary School (MEES) blasted Concepcion ES in straight sets over the weekend to make the finals again in the boys’ division of the Toby’s Junior Volleyball League. Epifanio Maas and Mark Marcellano carried the fight,combining for 18 points as the MEES spikers scored a 25-16, 25-18 win over CES in the semifinals of the tournament backed by Shakey’s, Petron Treats and Dunkin Donuts. Opposing MEES in the finals set at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow is De La Salle Lipa, which drew fiery offensive from Olan Canobas and Christian de la Cruz to down Claret School of Quezon City, 25-22, 25-12.
