This Hyundai I30 is fitted with a lot of options that are now standard. Seated on the driver seat you are pampered in comfort but firm enough to keep you in place even on tight sharp turns. For long drives the front black leather heated seats (with on/off switch) has an adjustable lumbar support, seat height adjuster (pumping type) and standard with active headrests. Aside from the dual front airbags (with on/off switch on passenger side) the test unit I drove had airbags on the backrest exterior side of the front seats and on all six pillars. A car audio system with six speakers for listening pleasure and a full auto temperature control (FATC) air-conditioning for a relaxing ride. For easy access when placing your order in drive thru fast food or when paying the toll fee, all windows have auto up/down LED illumination switches with safety window feature. On the dashboard the LCD in instrument cluster with cutting edge blue LED illumination in easy to read dial type can easily inform the driver on the information required. An on board trip computer located on the center portion of the dashboard can determine the average speed, fuel consumption and distance to empty and trip distance. Inside the cabin you will find an abundance of anti clutter storage that are standard like overhead sunglass case, cup holders, center armrest and console box, door map pockets, seat back pockets, glove box with cooling vents, rear cargo net and trunk cover to keep valuables unseen.

Outside the Hyundai I30 1.6 CCVT A/T (petrol) you will notice the distinct Euro inspired design. The Hankook Optimo K415 size 225/45 R17 91V mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels blend well with the wheel arches. The vertically designed tail lamps mounted on the rear pillars when on, keeps the vehicle visible to other motorists from behind. While the front fog lights that assists the projector head lamps during night driving can be controlled with auto light feature and the head lamp height beam can be adjusted by the driver from his seat within reach. Another standard feature on the Hyundai I30 is the electro-chromic rear view mirror that adjusts automatically to keep the driver glare free. Standard rear parking sensors are mounted on the rear bumpers to assist the driver when backing up.

The Hyundai I30 is pulled by a 1.6 liter DOHC CVVT petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 121 ps/6200 rpm and a maximum torque of 15.6 kg-m/4200 rpm coupled with a 4 speed automatic transmission that reinforces the engine performance and provide fuel efficiency. On standby are front ventilated discs and rear solid discs with ABS and EBD just waiting for the opportunity. The superb handling is credited to the front suspension Macpherson struts with coil springs, gas-filled shock absorbers and anti-roll bar and for the rear suspension a multi-link with coil springs, gas-filled shock absorbers and anti-roll bar. The steering response is quick to react due to the motor driven power steering for those split second decision.

The Hyundai I30 also has a diesel variant powered by a 1.6L double overhead cam common rail direct injection variable geometric turbo manual transmission with five forward gears that can deliver a maximum power of 115ps/4000rpm and a maximum torque of 26.0kg-m/2000rpm. This variant can pull this vehicle easily and could get you to your destination, fresh.
