A great way to escape

Years ago I had the opportunity to drive a 2005 Ford Escape and was somewhat disappointed with its performance. The latest Ford Escape 2.3 XLS 4x2 A/T though is a newer and much improved version. First thing I noticed were the additional accessories and amenities that went along with the face lift. The most important improvement though was in the brakes. It now has all-wheel disc brakes which can stop the car in a very short distance even during high speed runs. You can even brake and steer simultaneously due to the anti lock brake system with EBD.

The 2009 Ford Escape 2.3 XLS 4x2 A/T has a Duratech 4-in line 2.3 DOHC 16 valve engine with Variable valve timing. It has a maximum torque of 200 nm/4,000 rpm matched with a floor mounted 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. It is so easy to maneuver that you would think it is a sedan on stilts. Taking corners and slipstreams could be done so easily with minimal tire squeals (as long as your tires have the proper psi). The Ford Escape is driver-friendly — it has easy to reach switches in the conservative dashboard design, comfortable and adjustable driver’s seat, and remarkable visibility from the driver’s seat with tolerable blind spots. Sitting in the driver’s seat makes you feel secured and confident in driving. The rear seats are also comfortable for two passengers. While the passenger seated on the center is not so bad for short trips. The size of the 2009 Ford Escape 2.3 XLS 4x2 A/T is just right for city driving and out-of-town trips (with tolerable road conditions). For those adventure seeking individuals who like to escape from the city life from time to time, the Ford Escape can take you there in comfort, safety and style.
