AKCUPI’s all-breed dog shows April 17-18

The Asian Kennel Club Union of the Philippines Inc. (AKCUPI) will hold its 30th, 31st and 32nd International All-Breed Dog Shows today, April 17 and Sunday, April 18, at Tiendesitas, Ortigas Avenue corner E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue (C-5), Pasig City. According to AKCUPI chairman/president Henry Babiera, three top-caliber international judges from the United States, Japan and India will adjudicate the shows which will be participated in by entries from seven breed groupings: Herding, sporting, terrier, toy, non-sporting, working and hound. Each judge will pick the best puppy, best Philippine-born, and best-in-show. AKCUPI which heads the Asian Branch of Federacion Canina International (FCI) based in Spain, with over 100 member-countries throughout the world, has posted a record high registration of over 22,000 purebred dogs since its inception on March 30, 2008. The club will send a delegation to Seoul, South Korea for the 2nd Plenary Session of the Union of Asian Kennel Clubs on May 3. Nacionalista Party president Sen. Manny Villar was spotted shaking hands with the students of University of Perpetual Help Las Piñas City. This was held after an open forum which was set exclusively for Villar by the school’s administrators to give the students the chance to get to know more the presidential candidate.
