Former military soldier arrested for holdup
08/06/2008 Police arrested a former military soldier who was included in the list of Manila’s Most Wanted Criminal during a follow-up operation in Binondo, Manila last Monday night. The suspect, identified as Reynaldo Repurmina, married, jobless and a resident of Block 14, Baseco Compound, Tondo, Manila, is now detained at the Manila Police District (MPD) Station 11. He was complained by Emiliana Magtibay, 35, married, businesswoman, of 171 Barangay Namunga, Rosario, Batangas City. Supt. Nelson Yabut, chief of the MPD Station 11, said the suspect was nabbed at 10:15 p.m. on Tabora Street, Binondo. The victim went to Tabora Street to buy vegetables which she would sell in Batangas when the suspect approached her. Armed with a .38 cal. revolver, the suspect held her up while a certain “Dodong” served as a lookout. She was divested of her wallet containing P20,000 cash by the suspect. The commotion caught the attention of policemen patrolling the area. The suspect tried to flee but was subsequently arrested. Dodong eluded arrest. Police recovered the wallet containing the P20,000 from the suspect. Record check showed the suspect has other robbery cases. PNA  Back to top
