Lavish in a kaleidoscopic buffet without breaking the bank, avail of the P888 net for lunch/dinner buffet at the Riviera Café. Tag along your family and friends and say hello to the MVB — most valuable buffet — in town for the lowest cost and most number of choices, relish the world’s plate in one place during the Filipino food promo and international buffet spread, for the first and second half of October, respectively.

From Oct. 16 to 31, linger in executive chef Alvin Ng’s international gourmet specialties and mouthwatering entrées such as ballontine of chicken with prawn mousse, grilled tenderloin of beef with onion marmalade and red wine reduction, salmon paupiette with julienne vegetable, poached red snapper with cream ginger sauce, braised supreme chicken Florentine, stewed beef with dakon, aloo’ gobi (cauliflower and potatoes), baked chicken breast Francaise and grilled dori with fruit salsa.

The Riviera Café also highlights the shabu-shabu nook and noodle/pasta station with fresh ingredients at the main kitchen theater. Stopover at the Japanese station and linger in the refinement and exquisite preparations of fresh salmon and tuna sushi, California maki, salmon roe maki, kani salad and other culinary wonders. Relish something fresh and right at the Riviera Café’s interactive grill station. Allow our chefs to indulge you with any of your choice ingredients such as fresh mussels, oysters, lobsters, beef steak, lamb and other meats, perfectly grilled as you desire.

Balance your dining pleasure with a healthy dose of colors from the salad and fresh fruit bar and as fitting endnote to your gastronomic expedition, sink your teeth into low-calorie desserts such as green tea pana cotta, lite tangerine cheesecake and fresh fruit salad alongside other sweet treats.

GenSan food festival at Café Jeepney

InterContinental Manila’s Café Jeepney continues with its Filipino regional and provincial culinary promotions. From Oct. 14 to 31, popular dishes of General Santos City in South Cotabato will be part of the restaurant’s daily lunch and dinner buffets. To ensure their authenticity is guest hometown chef, Chriselda “Kring” Macion of Marasa Grill.

The freshly caught seafood and newly harvested agricultural products combine to make a sumptuous and delicious array of dishes. Kring promises to prepare GenSan sashimi and other grilled seafood delights during the special food promotion at Café Jeepney.

“I can say that almost all kinds of food are found in our city and they are cooked in different ways since GenSan is a melting pot of all the regional tribes in the country,” she says. “In GenSan you will find your comfort food since its residents come from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.”

Café Jeepney offers a free buffet meal for a fifth person for every group of four buffet-paying adults. Diners get a chance to participate in the hotel’s 40th anniversary grand raffle for every P4,000 in a single receipt at the restaurant. Prizes at stake are a Princess Cruise trip for two to Alaska or the Mexican Riviera or the Caribbean and two round trip tickets from Manila to any European destination of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.
