Bacchus Épicerie premieres at The Power Plant Mall

01/04/2009

The Power Plant Mall at Rockwell, already noted as the country’s premiere upscale lifestyle and leisure go-to place in Metro Manila, is now home to the newest establishment only for world-class gourmands and gourmets alike — Bacchus Épicerie.

The Bacchus Épicerie truly lives up to the Rockwell signature of providing value and the qualities in life, this time through the ultimate in home and kitchen merchandise.

The word épicerie is a derivation from the French term epice which means “spice.” Soon enough, this term expanded its meaning, eventually becoming a generic name for a store where one can buy everyday ingredients along with the spices. The Bacchus Épicerie further developed the food and household item concept by offering everything of the finest caliber that a gourmet, homemaker, restaurateur, or even connoisseur could dream of. This is one brilliant idea, as only brothers Alex and Clifford Lichaytoo of the Bacchus Épicerie can come up with.

Alex only has the best words to use in describing Bacchus Épicerie’s various product lines. He emphasized that their store carries no less than the highest quality of products in wine, food, and kitchen aids. He further stated Épicerie’s main philosophy in its operations: “Offer only the best of its kind.”

In keeping with the Bacchus Épicerie promise to offer only the finest, one will find a remarkable array of items which can only be purchased in this specialty food shop. It has the best European pots and pans, cutlery, and crystals; the ultimate in wines, coffee, and candies; and many more. Upscale and topnotch brands such as De Cecco pasta, Lavazza coffee, Valrhona chocolate, and USDA prime-grade beef are just among the many high-quality products displayed on the Bacchus Épicerie’s shelves, as well as Le Creuset and Mepra cookware. Wonderful exotics like 1929 cognac, grappas, vintage ports, world-class Grand Cru wines, and other high-end wines are also included in the long list of need-to-haves found at the Bacchus Épicerie, along with other delightful goodies and cooking treats from America and Europe.

Apart from its wide selection of high-grade merchandise, the Bacchus Épicerie will also be featuring a host of tasting bars where shoppers can savor the various selections of fine olive oil and espressos. Taste buds are sure to be tickled by these flavorful experiences at the Bacchus Épicerie’s tasting bars.

Alex further underscores another characteristic that is uniquely Bacchus Épicerie — its products are taken directly from their respective manufacturers. “We only distribute products where we are the exclusive distributor, and we buy direct from the factory at the lowest possible price,” he explained. This is the reason behind the Bacchus Épicerie’s ability to sell the best brands at reasonably-priced levels.

Located right next to The Power Plant Mall Lopez Drive entrance, the Bacchus Épicerie and its genius concept is already seen to be a big hit among Rockwell residents and other Power Plant mall-goers with flair for good taste. Alex and Clifford are very optimistic about the Bacchus Épicerie’s future. In fact, he is already making plans for a loyalty award system to be given to frequent Bacchus Épicerie shoppers, as well as expansion of the Rockwell outlet.

Bacchus Épicerie truly promises to become the next shopping haven for those with a distinct taste for the best that one can offer in food, cookware, and other gustatory pleasures.
