Ricky and Monsour judge Father’s Day kiddie contest

Ricky Davao and Monsour del Rosario play their roles as fathers on Father’s Day, June 17, as judges in the children’s “I Love You Dad” on-the-spot T-shirt painting competition organized by Color Me Mine, 5th level, Shangri-La Plaza Mall.

Color Me Mine, owned by Emma Reyes Pante, is the Philippine franchisee of a craft studio that offers hobbyists and children in a selection of activities from ceramics, glass, and fabric painting, among others.

Ricky is among the country’s foremost dramatic actors, and has won acting awards. He is also a TV and film director. His most recent project in cinema is one episode of the Gawad Kalinga trilogy soon to open in Metro Manila and abroad. Ricky is currently in the GMA teleserye Lupin. He is a father of four, and is an avid singer of ballads.

Monsour is an avid sportsman. He is currently promoting taekwondo. He has brought home dozens of trophies in the sport and was once in the Olympic team. He is part of Peak Martial Arts Equipment, owns the Olympians Taekwondo Training Center at Fort Bonifacio (889-5463), and appears in the current ABS-CBN teleserye Rounin. He has one child.

The “I Love You Dad” competition is open to children of all ages. The painting exercise will be held from 1 to 3 p.m., judging at 3 p.m., and food and drinks at 4 p.m. For details on rules and prizes, contact Shangri-La at 687-0801/687-0802.
