Cartoon Network doubles the fun and adventure with ‘a-maze-ing’ event

06/13/2010

Hundreds flocked to the SM Mall of Asia to “Hero Up” for an a-maze-ing day of adventure and surprises at the recent Cartoon Network Hero Up Giant Maze event. Asia’s leading kids’ cable channel challenged kids and kids at heart by installing a life-sized obstacle maze at the heart of the biggest mall of Asia and dishing out a power-serving of cool Cartoon Network goodies.

The free-for-all event is part of Cartoon Network’s “Hero Up” summer campaign empowering kids to unleash their inner heroes by helping save the environment in their own little ways. Staying true to the campaign’s hero spirit, the event invited kids to show off their adventurous, inventive and heroic spirit in the hero-themed challenges within the maze.

Within the different legs of the race, kids were tasked to decipher mysterious clues in The Secret Saturdays station, test their courage at the Batman: The Brave and the Bold station and go through giant web obstacles action at the Spectacular Spiderman booth. At the end of the maze, kids dressed up as heroes and struck a pose for a photo opp at the Hero Up wall. Kids also got a hero-sized serving of freebies, giveaways and limited-edition Cartoon Network prizes in the stage games, raffles and booths. Topping off the treats was a visit from the awesome alien-fighting tandem, Ben and Gwen Tennyson, who hung out with their fans in a meet-and-greet session.

Cartoon Network fans who are hungry for more hero action can hang out with their favorite superheroes, from Ben 10, Spiderman, Batman, the Superhero Squad gang and many others on the channel’s Hero Up programming line-up. Visit www.cartoonnetwork.com.ph for more information.
