Twinings celebrates RP-UK Friendship Week 2009

11/22/2009

Twinings, the world-famous English speciality tea brand, joined the festivities and events during the recently concluded RP-UK Friendship Week. Now on its third year, the week-long celebration organized by the British Embassy Manila, British Council, British Alumni Association (BAA) and the British Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (BCCP) aims to strengthen the friendship between Britain and the Philippines and showcase the best of both cultures.

The RP-UK Friendship Week 2009 kicked-off with an Equestrian Cup and High Tea held at the Manila Polo Club. Twinings provided refreshments for the guests and participants with its flavorful iced tea concoctions. These Twinings drinks helped guests cool down and unwind after the day’s Mini Cooper parade and equestrian competition.

Twinings also took part in Bravo Britannia, a fashion show at Ascend Bar that showcased creations made by British clothing brand Terranova, The British School Manila, and the Philippines’ School of Fashion and the Arts. Aside from showcasing pieces of British and Filipino designers, proceeds from the event would benefit the British Alumni Association’s charity foundations and victims of the recent typhoons “Ondoy” and “Pepeng.”

Twinings, a trusted partner of the annual RP-UK Friendship Week celebration, offers a wide array of classic black teas, flavored black teas, green teas and fruit and herbal infusions, with over 21 premium tea blends to choose from.
