MFI scholars graduate Oct. 23
10/18/2009 The MFI Technological Institute (formerly Meralco Foundation Institute) will honor its 122 scholars during its 24th Commencement Exercises to be held 1:30 p.m. Oct. 23 at the Teatro Aguinaldo, Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City. The graduates belong to the 24th batch of MFI scholars who completed the three-year requirements for technical courses and the two-year requirements for information technology (IT). This year’s graduation rites will have for guest of honor and keynote speaker Ponciano Togonon, general manager, M2M Division of Raffle Solution and Services, and an MFI alumnus. On hand to welcome the guests are MFI officials led by the president, Col. Alex Escaño, and members of the Board of Trustees, together with the department heads of the school. A pledge of loyalty to the alma mater will be recited by the graduating students to be followed by the distribution of certificates. Honor graduates will be awarded medals of academic excellence. Participating companies who sponsor scholars and those who admitted them for OJT (on-the-job training) will be awarded plaques of appreciation. MFI scholars are among the ranks of quality manpower taught with holistic approach that combines skills and development with values formation necessary for effective performance and productivity in the workplace. Statistics show that 90 percent of MFI graduates are employed even before they graduate.  Back to top
