Accenture donates PCs to upgrade Bantay Bata 163 call center
11/30/2008 Accenture, a global mana-gement consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, recently turned over desktop computers to Bantay Bata 163, to provide more efficient assistance to callers of the latter’s 24-hour crisis and counseling hotline. Ramona Velasco, country human resources lead of Accenture Delivery Center in the Philippines, led the turnover ceremony, with Bantay Bata represented by China Aurelio, senior mobilization officer. The computer donation is one of many programs that Accenture pursues under Accenture Caring for Tomorrow (ACT), the company’s vehicle to promote corporate citizenship in education, environment, livelihood, and emergency relief. Photo shows Velasco and Aurelio shaking hands during the turnover ceremony of 15 personal computers to assist the foundation’s 24-hour 163 crisis and counseling hotline. Back to top
