07/20/2008

The Photo Summit 2008 to be held Aug. 14-17 at the V-Mall in Greenhills features a trade show and seminars from two great masters of photography. With the theme “Beauty,” top US photographers Parish Kohanim and Clay Blackmore will be teaching the secrets of portraiture and glamor, with special focus in lighting and posing. Both photographers have long held the titled of Canon Explorers of Light, an exclusive fellowship numbering only 75 photographers worldwide.

Blackmore is known for his blend of classical technique and cutting-edge innovation.

Kohanim originally hails from Iran and was raised on a diet of fine art, classical music and a deep appreciation for natural beauty. He is also one of the most in-demand fashion and glamor photographers around. His unique portraits and fashion shots range in style from stylishly edgy to lavish homage to the great painters of the Renaissance, all using a masterful blend of lighting and color that never fail to catch the eye.

Photo Summit 2008, organized by Federation of Philippine Photographers Foundation Inc. and the Digital Photographer Philippines Magazine, is a much awaited event by amateur and professional photographers. The trade show will feature camera and photographic equipment and accessories. The lecture series kicks off with a live photo shoot with the American lecturers and models on Aug. 15, followed by seminars at the Club Filipino on Aug. 16 and 17.
