‘Linis-Kinis, Sagip-Kutis’ campaign delivers hope

Hope assumed the form of a caravan when Johnson’s Pure Essentials “Linis-Kinis, Sagip-Kutis” rolled out a successful skin mission in Luzon and the Visayas.

The first leg of the tour roared through San Fernando, Baguio and Metro Manila with thousands of families lining up to seek free services straight from dermatologists.

The campaign then headed to Tacloban, Bacolod and Cebu giving barangays of the south a reason to believe in practical and cost-effective solutions to skin problems.

With more mothers giving attention to skin care than ever before, the campaign aims to equip them with the proper knowledge and information to find solutions to the problem.

“We are not just talking about the importance of bathing and cleansing,” Linis-Kinis, Sagip-Kutis spokesperson Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan said. “We inform and educate them that truly healthy skin is – skin that is both clean and not dry.”

Dermatologists agree that our most common habits can cause skin dryness. Long baths, loofas and other rough bathing implements, especially the use of harsh soaps that are not suitable and mild enough for daily use, are some of the many reasons for having a dry skin. Set in a bus that rolls out to reach the farthest barangays, equipped with dermatologists ready to give their professional advice, the campaign provides a fun and interactive venue in addressing the problem.

“These are things that we often disregard. We think that dryness is a small price to pay for having clean skin,” she added. “We help people realize that dryness undermines the health of our skin and with that knowledge and a little help from Johnson’s Pure Essentials we can save our skin.”
