Fashion takes flight: Destination Penshoppe takes off from Boracay

A backdrop of toned and tanned bodies romping in the clear blue waters and the powdery white sands of Boracay made Penshoppe’s Summer 2008 Collection hotter than ever.

After a spectacular Boracay sunset, the stars came out in full force for “Destination: Penshoppe” that featured Penshoppe’s summer collection.

As part of the Nestea Beach Event 2008, it highlighted the series of lifestyle events and non-stop partying in the event’s Boracay leg. Aside from the parties and cool events, lots of prizes were also given away in shore sports and games such as Big Shirt Volley and Penshoppe Big Bag, where winners bagged exclusive merchandise and CDs from Philippine rock legend Bamboo.

Club Pen endorsers Heart Evangelista, Nikki Gil, Melissa Ricks, Vicky Herrera, Dawn Balagot, Einar Ingebrigsten, Matt Evans and Victor Basa ignited the summer fashion fest, modeling runway-worthy looks from Penshoppe’s summer line to the beat of the hottest club tunes from spinmaster DJ Benjo Marquez.

This season’s go-to destinations, acid-bright colors and tantalizing textures flickered across a giant screen as models sailed down the catwalk in preppy chic pieces, reflecting classic and comfortable cuts of the ’80s-inspired preppy look spiced by the edgy attitude of punk.

The event hit the boiling point when members of the hunky All Star Dancers ended their dance number by stripping off their shirts, leaving only their Penshoppe Denims on. The Club Pen endorsers followed suit, returning to the ramp in the latest Penshoppe Denims.
