175 applicants in STOP 2008

05/18/2008

This year’s Summer Technician Orientation Program (STOP) drew 175 qualified applicants to MFI Technological Institute’s Industrial Technician Program (ITP). These applicants are among the 283 who passed MFI-TI’s entrance exams and personal interview and are now going through the STOP session.

Designed as a dry run of the regular first semester at MFI-TI were applicants report to school four hours a day, five days a week. STOP is a screening process for the Scholarship Committee and also gives the applicants a taste of what life would be like as MFI scholar-students.

At the end of STOP, students will be given a final exam that will test the students’ ability to absorb the materials given to them during STOP. Aside from getting good exam scores, applicants must also exhibit good behavior and the ability to take instructions well. Physical and mental fitness are also considered to ensure that students will be able to cope with the rigors of academics at MFI-TI and the workplace conditions in the industry.
