CEB slashes fares to Osaka

COMPANY NEWS

09/15/2009

Cebu Pacific (CEB), Asia’s third largest low-cost carrier, slashes its fares for Osaka with a P2,499 seat sale from Sept. 15 to 21, 2009 and valid for travel from Oct. 15 to Dec. 15, 2009. The travel period for this seat sale coincides with the fall season of the Kansai area, which covers Osaka and Kyoto. Kyoto is half an hour away from Osaka by special service train. CEB flies from Manila to Osaka every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. The service departs Manila at 2 p.m., and departs Osaka at 7:20 p.m. "Tourists flock to Kyoto’s fall foliage spots such as Arashiyama, Kiyomizu-dera Temple and the Kyoto Imperial Palace from mid-October to early December. It is our pleasure to provide more opportunities for travel to Japan, especially during such a beautiful season," said CEB vice president for marketing and distribution Candice Iyog. "Similarly, those who would want to visit the Philippines before the Christmas rush will now get their chance. Our value fares are meant to stimulate tourism between the two countries. Traveling to Japan and back is now more affordable with Cebu Pacific," Iyog said. The airline’s Manila-Osaka service started last November 2008. CEB has flown over 36 million passengers since its maiden flight in 1996. It flies to 32 domestic and 14 international destinations from 4 hubs across the Philippines, using the youngest fleet of aircraft in the country.
