Traders Hotel Manila, hosts Miss Philippines Earth 2009 press conference

04/24/2009

Traders Hotel, Manila will once again serve as the official venue for Carousel Production Inc.’s Miss Philippines Earth 2009 press conference and media presentation, which will take place at 10 a.m. on April 21, 2009 at the Paseo del Sol Poolside.

Spearheaded by Carousel Productions, Inc.’s President and CEO Ramon S. Monzon, the Miss Philippines Earth beauty pageant not only provides a showcase of aesthetic value but also helps promote environmental consciousness through its many projects. The winning candidate will represent the country in the Miss Earth 2009 contest slated for later this year.

The pageant organizer’s campaign for environmental protection and conservation is in line with the hotel’s strong commitment to mitigating the impacts of climate change and sound, resource-management practices.

Traders Hotel, Manila is one of the few establishments in the country that is powered by renewable energy. The hotel’s water-heating system is hooked to solar panels, cutting the hotel’s overall carbon emissions and reducing energy consumption as early as 1995.

For room reservations, please call (63 2) 523 7011 local 2508 or send an e-mail to reservations.thm@shangri-la.com.
