Toyota offers free motorist assistance

(TMPC) has enjoined all its dealers nationwide to provide free assistance to motorists a week before and during the observance of the Holy Week. Now on its 18th year, Toyota’s Motorists Assistance project was launched in cooperation with Caltex Philippines Inc., Philippine Auto Components (Denso) Inc., Du Pont Far East Inc., Emicor Inc., Yokohama Tire Sales Philippines, Oriental and Motolite Marketing Corp., 3M Philippines Inc., Fujitsu Ten Corp., Nippon Paint Marketing Co. Philippines Inc., Power Check Inc. and Federal Chemicals Akzonobel Inc. All of the 27 Toyota Dealers nationwide will offer a free Pre-Holy Week Safety Inspection, available for all Toyota Periodic Maintenance and General Job customers from March 16 to April 7. This inspection includes a 20 point check up of the parking brake travel, wiper blades wear, lights operation, air conditioner gas level/ cooling performance, ATF deterioration/ level/ leakage, brake, engine coolant and power steering fluid level/ leakage/ hose deterioration, washer fluid level, battery electrolytes, air cleaner clogging, drive belt tension/ deterioration, spark plugs deterioration, engine oil deterioration/ level/ leakage, front tires tire pressure/ wear, rear tires tire pressure/ wear, break pad/shoe thickness, shock absorber leakage, exhaust system leakage, and drive shaft boot deterioration. From April 9 to11, Emergency Road Side service personnel will offer free emergency repairs for all vehicles, regardless of model and make. Toyota Roving teams will be patrolling along routes to major Luzon destinations. On site teams will be located at strategic Caltex Stations in Baguio; Rosario, La Union,; Moncada, Tarlac; Calamba, Laguna; Tagaytay; Sto. Tomas, Batangas; and along NLEX (North Luzon Express Way). Motorist Assistance will be available Maundy Thursday and Black Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Good Friday and Easter Sunday from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. Roadside services will include diagnosis and actual emergency repairs, such as engine overheating, underchassis, electrical, aircon, steering, brakes, and wheel problems.
