Seaoil local stations grow to 144 last year
03/16/2009 Oil distributor Seaoil Philippines Inc. said it has now 144 stations nationwide to serve the public. Last year, a total of 10 new stations were opened in Metro Manila, six in North Luzon, six in South Luzon, seven in Mindanao and six in Visayas. Seaoil president Glenn Yu said the company is aggressively increasing the number of its retail stations as part of the company’s goal to become one of the more competitive players in the market. The company continued its growth by opening at least six new stations every quarter last year, he added. Seaoil stations that opened in the last quarter of last year were those in Gov. Pascual, Malabon; Mexico, Pampanga; Guagua, Pampanga; Naujan, Oriental Mindoro; Tagbak, Iloilo; Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay; Cotabato City; and Glan, Sarangani. Seaoil targets to open over 50 new stations for 2009 for a total of 200 by year-end. Four were already opened in the first two months with locations in A. Mabini, Caloocan; Kawit, Cavite; Biñan, Laguna; and General Santos City. Three stations are in the pipeline for Cebu. Seaoil was the first to launch ethanol-blended E10 gasoline in all its filling stations nationwide, more than a year before the Biofuels Act was signed into law. Back to top
